The Conogó folding screen is an art piece of furniture by the artist Noemi Saga. Conogó's constructive, formal and aesthetic inspiration is a mix of references from the most diverse roots of universal cultures to contemporary art. From cultural roots: the works of indigenous ancestors inspired by nature, in their constructive form and the use of simple materials. From contemporary art: works of kinetic art that create sensory games of optical illusion, rhythm and movement.
The screen is made up of two modules that together form ripples. From each angle we see the piece, we feel a different rhythm. As we walk around the screen there is an illusion of movement, rhythm and we feel its transformation. In the colored version, this entire metamorphosis of the piece gains even more strength, as in the visual games of kinetic art works.
