History: Alexandre Vicente, born in Porto Alegre and based in Campo Grande (RJ), became a wood sculptor about two years ago, when he completely transformed his life by leaving a stable job in the maintenance sector to be happy.
For years he put aside his experience as a craftsman, which began at age 16, until one day he found a piece of wood and created a bird. The result was so interesting that he was encouraged to invest in a studio.
He developed his skill in sculpture in a self-taught way and works with reused wood that would go to disposal, using tauari, ipê roxinho, muiracatiara, massaranduba, angelim and freijó.
 
 
He is the one who designs the pieces and gets emotional when creating, saying that his inspiration comes from nature and observation, cutting wood through the sensitivity of his gaze, with simple traits that reveal great beauty. Alexandre inspires us and reminds us that we can always reinvent ourselves, because life is made of choices.
