Texture of sea winds to dress the house
By Tiago Braga.
Marina Ferreira - Gravataí/RS and Beatriz Germano - Porto Alegre - RS Brazil

Grated coconut, flying sand, horse hair and the sea is the palate of solitude. Because we liked the campaign, we folded the brim of the hat and offered these gifts from the beaches and farms. Going about for nothing, resting in the afternoon, the well-being that nature brings. Using the coastal scenery of Rio Grande do Sul we create cultural artifacts that convey the air of the beaches of southern Brazil. But, after all, how important is nature in our routine and how can being close to it help us to be more completely (and essentially) human?
Exploring the power and richness of visual and tactile texture, using only cotton fibers from textile industry waste, was a starting point for this collection. Sustainability and mindfulness permeate this collection. To achieve this, the ancient technique of manual weaving, traditionally used in southern Brazil, for the production of visors, ponchos and rugs was rescued. Based on this tradition, designer Tiago Braga, in partnership with artisans Marina and Beatriz, co-created the unique textile skin that covers poufs, cushions and futons. Feel part of this process.
